Carla Anderson
Co-Founder and CEO
Location: Shreveport, Louisiana
Carla is a native of Shreveport and part of Elite’s founding team.?She has been around the healthcare industry most of her life and oversees the growth and direction of Elite. Her passion remains grounded in helping people. Providing care for the elderly is a near and dear part of who she is. “If I had one lesson for caregivers in the trenches of caring for their loved ones, it would simply be to embrace the blessing of time.”
After graduating from Louisiana Tech, Carla received her master’s from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2006, where she interned at a children’s hospital in Fort Worth. She is an avid music fan and enjoys traveling, basketball, and being on the back patio with her family. She is married and mom to two beautiful daughters.
Joanna King
Co-Founder and COO
A native of Shreveport and part of Elite’s founding team, Joanna’s strong work ethic and value system have played a vital part in growing Elite into what it is today. With over 20?years of experience in the staffing industry, Joanna has helped create a business of helping people by staffing quality professionals in medical facilities as well as in-home care settings.?
Prior to opening Elite, Joanna graduated from LSUS with a degree in marketing. She worked as a branch manager for a corporate medical staffing company where she and Carla met. She is as dedicated as they come, and her leadership abilities help Elite’s team stay focused on providing the best care for clients. She is humbled by the opportunity to serve so many in the community. She is married, has two children, and is a country girl at heart.
Olivia Alexander
Office Admin and Client Relations
Location: Shreveport, Louisiana
Olivia joined Elite’s team in 2008, starting as a part–time office helper and growing into our Office Administrator. She collaborates with the various divisions to help steer needs in the right direction. Likewise, she is the go-to for all prospective clients to assess their care needs in the facility and caregiving sectors. From recruiting to hiring, she works hand in hand with our team to make sure the clients and applicants have the best experience. Olivia is a proud mom and wife.
Jeff Bomar
VP of Business Development
Jeff is the Business Development Manager for Elite Health Solutions, LLC. He started his educational career at Louisiana State University in Shreveport, where he obtained a degree in business management administration. Jeff has been in staffing for more than 25 years. He has a passion for people and helping them find that perfect career! At Elite, Jeff works closely with our staffing and recruiting departments to help grow the business. Some of Jeff’s achievements and recognition include being named Top 40 Under 40 of Young Professionals, The Very Important Volunteer Award, and Top Diplomat for the local chamber of commerce. When Jeff is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family, being outdoors, and going to church.
Rapunzel Adams
CNA Staffing Coordinator
Location: Shreveport, Louisiana
Rapunzel joined Elite’s team in 2022 as a Staffing Coordinator for the medical division. She has a background in mental health and business development and has over 20 years of experience as a local musician. Rapunzel’s primary goal is to ensure that our Elite employees have a variety of facilities to choose from and can find jobs. She also works with our facilities to make sure they are fully staffed in their time of need. She has one son whom she loves dearly, and she loves working at Elite!
Sandy Simon
Staffing Coordinator – Professional & Clerical Division
Elite’s Placement Specialist is Sandy Simon, a veteran Recruiter who enjoyed a career with a staffing firm in the Shreveport area. Sandy has hit the ground running and spends her busy days recruiting, interviewing, and (hopefully) placing skilled applicants with our incredibly valuable client companies. Carla and Joanna invited Sandy to join the Elite Team as she neared the end of a contract position in Shreveport, and Sandy gladly said YES!! Our team is on its way to amazing SUCCESS!
Gabby Cavanaugh
Recruitment
Gabby joined Elite originally as a staffing assistant in 2023. She quickly took the lead in recruiting applicants and building relationships with potential employees. On top of working full time, she also is enrolled full time in nursing school with a drive to become a travel nurse. Her dedication and hard work are easy to spot when you walk through the doors at Elite. She enjoys people that want to help others and make a difference. Outside of work, and when she is not studying, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
Jennifer Boyter
Payroll and AP Manager
Location: Shreveport, Louisiana
Jennifer joined Elite’s team in 2021 in the Payroll and Accounts Payable department. She is responsible for processing payroll, ensuring that employees are paid correctly and on schedule, as well as providing many other financial duties for our company.
Prior to joining Elite, Jennifer received a degree in applied science from Bossier Parish Community College and has over 10+ years of experience in payroll and accounting. She is married and a proud mother of six children.
Audrey Garza
Invoicing and AR
Audrey joined Elite’s team in 2023 with over 20 years of accounting experience. She is in the Invoicing/Accounts Receivable department. She is responsible for preparing invoices, ensuring invoices are billed correctly, and payments are received in a timely manner.
Outside of work, Audrey enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Courtney West
Human Resources and Compliance
Originally from Biloxi, Mississippi, Courtney joined Elite in 2021 as a recruiter and quickly advanced into a Human Resources and compliance role. She was named HR Director in late 2022. She has been a military spouse for 15 years and moved with her family to Knoxville, Tennessee, where she continues to work remotely. Academically speaking, she has a bachelor’s degree in business administration, an associate degree in business, and, most recently, completed her HR certificate from the University of Tennessee. Her life motto is: “We should never stop learning and trying to better ourselves.”
Prior to working for Elite, she worked in various industries, such as banking, accounting, and office operations. Human resources has become her passion because people are the most important asset of an organization.
Jessica Hobby
Client Relations and On Call
Jessica joined the Elite team in 2022 as an on-call coordinator and client relations representative. Her main focus is helping customers, applicants, and active employees with their needs. Before joining Elite, she worked as an optician for four years. She genuinely enjoys the challenge of helping others and wants nothing more than for those she helps to be seen and heard. People are her ultimate passion, and you will feel that immensely when working with her! Outside work, she is a wife and mama to two sweet babies!
Lori Yokem
Marketing and Sales
Lori is the Marketing Specialist at Elite Health Solutions, LLC.?With her background in Kinesiology: Health and Wellness, Lori is a vital addition to the Elite crew. She has years of experience caring for the health and?well-being of people.?She is determined to help the Elite team as they bridge the relationship between clients and skilled applicants. In her free time, Lori loves all things outdoors: hiking, biking, golfing, and traveling with her three children!?
Cheryl Anderson
On Call
Cheryl has been with Elite since its conception in 2008. She oversees on-call most weekends and nights.?She is a VITAL part of our organization and assists families and facilities with caregiving services, staffing needs and other matters that come up.
During the week, Cheryl also manages a career in law enforcement, where she has served for 10 years.?Her ability to handle the stress of what we do each day is simply amazing, and we are very grateful for all she does. She is the mom of two children and has two sweet grandbabies.
Shannon Parker
On Call
Born and raised in Washington state, Shannon moved to Shreveport in 2012. Since that time, she has worked full time in the dental industry for over 13 years. She works with Elite at night and on the weekends as our on-call coordinator, where she assists clients and employees as needed. In addition, she is currently putting herself through nursing school. She is the proud wife and mom of 6 sweet kids. Just like her favorite color, glitter, she likes to put a little sparkle in her patient care.
